We got this canopy for my then four year-old. It worked great for her bed because the bed had legs you could tie the supports to (ties come with it). This made it sturdy. However, I have two other small children and they broke the side supports just by reaching up and grabbing them. They are made of a very thin piping that can not withstand any weight at all. I think this would be great for an only-child, or when any other children are at least five.
