Customer Reviews First Class Photo Backpack. October 13, 2008 docnarc (Wahoo, OR USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a high quality first class photo backpack. Extremely well built and very streamlined. It has a distinctive look. The best, most comfortable handle I have ever seen. It is a compact backpack, but holds quite a lot of stuff, and built like a tank. You could take out the dividers in the lower section, and use it as regular very high level backpack, but it does not have a pocket large enough for a notebook computer, but that is not a knock because it is not meant for computers. This thing will last forever, and I will get another for my wife.

Great construction! I was concerned about the size and capability of the pack, but it has proven to be very well sized for hauling a dslr with one lens attached along with two other lenses and a flash. The design with the lower drop out pocket was what drew my attention and it has proven to be very convenient as far a quick retrieval or storage. I am over 6 ft tall with broad shoulders and the pack fits well on my back. If for some reason I felt like I needed to carry more equipment I would probably move to the 467, but this one works great for me now. I would recommend this item to a close friend. If you do a search on Amazon, make sure you tab through all the items. I originally was prepared to purchase just the pack but found the pack along with the monopole for the same original price.
Good Deal for the money October 3, 2008 RonC (Austin, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Packed my Canon XTI, three lenses, battery charger, and some cables, etc. Don't know what to do with all the room. I wasn't sure about the size of the rucksak, but it sure is large enough for my use. Fits well on my back, a little snug around the waist, but that my fault. Good value for the money, especially with the monopod that came with it. It seems well made, stitching looks ok, zippers work well with no snags. I think its a good value purchase, besides it has enough room to pack a small lunch and drink if you are out on a short photo hike.
GREAT! September 19, 2008 Timothy Bury (Richfield, MN USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this backpack to use for travel and an everyday use where I don't need all my lenses. Particularly I bought it with an upcoming Disney trip in mind. This backpack will fit my needs perfectly. I love the styling and appearance, and the fact that it doesn't look like a standard camera bag. It is unique and stylish without being weird. There are several other color options available as well. When I first packed it I had to remind myself why I got it, to have a smaller, lighter pack when I want to carry less gear. By habit I started stuffing all my lenses in the bag. You actually can carry quite a bit if you need to. Just use the top part which I thought was roomy (for what I was expecting, keeping in mind I wanted a travel size bag). So, here is what fit's comfortably in the bottom: - D300 w/Grip - 16-86 VR Nikon (or 17-50 2.8 Tamron) mounted - 11-16 Tokina 2.8 - 50-150 Sigma 2.8 - SB-600 Flash (or another lens and store the SB-600 in the top) A little extra room for small things like cards, one pack of AA's, etc. With the grip off another compartment is available for another lens. Top-loaded the D300 w/grip doesn't close too easily, it gets a little tight. That is why with the grip I configured it "down-in" with 3 other slots. Again, w'out grip you would have four other spots available. Actually, as many as 5 if you ant to pack a smaller lens down below (50 or 85 1.8 for example) and top-load the camera. The top compartment has room for a flash and a couple lenses if you want. I can easily fit the 70-300 VR and flash and 85 1.8. I also tried the 50-150 Sigma 2.8 in the Sigma case and that left some room for a flash and maybe a small lens. In addition to the above, there are pockets and compartments for other odds and ends such as batteries, CF Cars, cloths, lens pen, etc. The bottom line is I am extremely happy with this bag. It does what I expected it to do. When loading I found myself saying "I wish I could get more in the bottom", but again, I had to remind myself I did not buy this bag to bring everything (my Tenba shootout medium is a good choice for that). I bought it for travel and on the go. It's PERFECT! Oh, it's VERY comfortable too. I was a bit surprised to find out how comfortable it was. I have not worn it for hours on end. But compared to my other pack and previous ones I have owned it feels great on my back.
