This product is advertised as a nite coaster. However it is for eye glasses. Infact it says do not put liquids near it. I have decided to try to make it work as a coaster anyway. I have tried this with a clear glass and a colored one. The clear one is the only one that works. The sensor is very sensitive. This did come with batteries. It's a great idea. I'm keeping it.

This is a very nice item, but does not come with 4 AAA batterties as stated ("With 4 "AAA" batteries")

I love this product. It is great when I get up in the middle of the night or when I am searching for my glasses or water glass. It makes a great gift. I gave one to all my family at Christmas.
