Product Description Ideal for drying fresh pasta. 8 spindles. Wood
Amazon.com Review Even the longest fresh fettuccine or linguine won't touch the counter when draped on the arms of this sturdy pasta drying rack. The rack stands 16-1/2 inches high, including a heavy, stable, 7/8-inch-thick base. Assembly (and disassembly for storage) is simple. The 3/4-inch center post screws into the base. Four 18-inch dowels then slide through holes in the post, providing eight arms--cunningly angled so they don't interfere with one another--on which to hang fresh pasta to dry before going into the pot, refrigerator, or freezer. As is traditional, the rack is made of unfinished wood so pasta strands don't slide off. --Fred Brack

This is the second Norpro drying rack that I have purchased. When I would make a batch of pasta, I would always roll the dough out first and stretch it across two dowels while I rolled out the rest. That way if it wasn't quite dry enough, it wouldn't stick together and it would dry just a bit more before cutting. Then I would change to the cutter and cut all of the rolled pasta. With only one rack, it meant that I could only put 4 wide strips of pasta on and I was looking for other places to put the rest. Then I purchased a second rack and I have plenty of room for all of it. This rack is easy to use and easy to store.
Finally, easy homemade pasta! November 22, 2008 L. Cuomo (Oak Ridge, New Jersey United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love to make homemade pasta by the pounds but have never figured out a good way to dry it for storage. This pasta rack can hold more than two pounds of linguini or fettuccini, it doesn't take up much room on the counter workspace and is easy to assemble, take apart and store. I'm glad I bought it and the price can't be beat.
Great Pasta Drying Rack October 20, 2008 Jane E. Sohmer (Plano, TX)
This pasta drying rack is simple and very functional. I find its holding capacity equals the yield of an average batch of pasta, enough for about 4-6 servings. I think if I were entertaining and doubling my recipe I could probably squeeze it all on without much trouble. To store the rack, remove the dowels and lay them all together. You will need storage space enough for the base, about 8 inches, and for the dowels, about 18 inches. I store it all in my baking cabinet under my island countertop. If you are like me, maybe you have been hanging your noodles/pasta anywhere you can find a place. ha ha :) - that works okay but it's really great to finally have a rack and for the price you really can't go wrong!
Great Drying Rack August 4, 2008 Nicole Lewis (North Pole, Alaska)
I receieved this as a gift back in June. I've used it many times since then and love it! It is so much better than my old drying rack. This one disassembles and stores easily. Also, it doesn't take much counter space which is always a plus!
A must Have August 3, 2008 T. Bagrowski (Delta, PA United States)
If you make your own Pasta, You need the drying Rack. I started out just making the pasta Sheets and laying it out on the counter until I was ready to cut my Pasta, Trust me, This method takes up ALLOT of Space. The NorPro Pasta Rack makes life So much simpler, and takes up allot less space. Make your Pasta and Hang it until you are ready to cut it, Than you can hang your cut sheets to Dry if needed. if you are handy, It still wouldn't pay to build your own due to the price of this one. it's just a Simple Well thought out tool that dosen't require a Second Mortgage on the Home.
