I bought this phone because it was recommended by Consumer Reports and I wanted the answering machine with ability for caller id. The sound kept lowering while I talked. I would click it up to the highest volume. which was still too low. I tried it in different rooms, just to be sure that wasn't the problem. After calling customer service, I mailed it for repair, costing me $10. I was shocked, they do not send back a new phone set, but a refurbished handset! Guess what? the refurbished phone still has sound problems. I guess I am out of luck. I don't want to keep sending it back for refurbishing at $10 a pop.
Excellent phone with great features January 6, 2009 R. Lee 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
You cannot go wrong with a Panasonic phone. The features and options are great and easy to set up and use. The range and clarity is excellent for two-story homes and having a second handset, it can be moved with ease inside and outside of the home. One great feature is the intercom which is very useful. This model has everything you need if you want a complete cordless phone with not taking up too much space.
Great phones, great deal. January 6, 2009 Bill (St. Helena, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These phones are exactly what we needed in our little condo. Sound clarity is excellent, the answering device is very easy to use, the speakerphone is great. Absolutely no complaints from this user. It's all we wanted or needed in a cordless phone.
Best cordless set I have owned January 5, 2009 S. Collins 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've used this system for more than 18 months and it has performed flawlessly. I've had no difficulty establishing and maintaining clear connections up to 150 feet, I haven't tried from a greater distance. Battery life between charges has been much better than previous cordless sets. The batteries are Ni-Mh AAA which means replacements will be easy to find locally at reasonable prices, my previous cordless models all required proprietary batteries. The extra charging base has made it very convenient to keep at least one handset fully charged at all times. The only feature I miss from former models is a counter for incoming messages.
The best cordless phone that I have owned January 3, 2009 Gaurav Aggarwal (Andover, MA)
I have had this Panasonic cordless phone for more than a year now. It works great. The sound quality is very good and it has some great features too. Caller ID: I love the caller ID where it matches the phone number against the stored number in the phonebook. Phonebook: The phonebook feature is good. I am no longer looking for phone numbers from my cellphone or internet directories. I have stored all the numbers that I need. Intercom: My wife and I use the intercom a lot when she is in the kitchen and I am in the basement or the garage. Cordless Range: I have tried 150 ft and it worked great. Battery Life: Goes really good. Now after a year, one handset seems to lose charge soon but the other one still goes for almost a week. In any case it uses the standard AAA batteries so I know I don't have to waste money on proprietary batteries. Voice quality: No static or disturbance. The speaker phone with mute facility is great too for my business conference calls. Answering machine: I don't use this since I have Vonage and I use the Vonage facility instead.
