I regret purchasing this vacuum. I purchased it based on the fact that it was advertised to be perfect for homes with pets. The machine is extremely heavy and is prone to tipping. The dirt sensor only worked the first time I used the machine. The edge cleaning feature does not quite cover to the edge. The rotating brush hand tool is a joke. Now, the hose has separated from the machine necessitating a trip to the authorized service center. I have had this vacuum for less than 1 year. Calls to customer service at Panasonic yielded misinformation. Please look elsewhere for a good, reliable vacuum in this price range. Skip the Panasonic.

SAVE YOUR MONEY! I got this for a deal...$117? and it was worth that for a couple of months. AND, as others have noted...HEAVY & prone to TIPPING...forget doing the stairs! I never minded vacuuming til this. Also, after SIX months it started going into "comas" (needed "rest" then would restart) then finally DIED a month ago. Amazon of no help (surprise).

Outstanding Suction(better than the rest of the vacuums I've owned), Easy to use, Everything works on like it should, & a great price. The carpet is cleaner than it's ever been! THIS PRODUCT IS WORTH 4 TIMES WHAT I PAID FOR IT!!!.
Would definitely buy again.

Amazon must be kidding me. I bought this vacuum. Only to found out that there is NO STRECTH HOSE, NO EXTENSION WAND, NO DUSTING BRUSH.
I simply cannot use this "new" product.
I would suggest Amazon donot sell RETURNED prodct as new. Or at least they should check the returned item before sell it again.
This is good product. I purchased it at 65$. It is a worth buy. Dust sensor some times mislead us. December 2, 2008
