The lamp is as advertised: It is only the lamp and not the housing. I feel they should include the directions for how to remove the old lamp from the housing, or at least say that it is a somewhat delicate job. However, the vendor patiently gave me step by step help over the phone which is why I gave this 4 stars instead of 2.
