Customer Reviews Poor quality stiches, woudn't buy this even for a child! September 2, 2008 guineapigs (wa) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My mom gave me the BIG perfection sewing machine (this little hand held comes in the box), last Christmas. I thought it (the BIG one) sewed great (the stiches on the front were fine) until, I looked on the back of the fabric. The machine DOES NOT even knot the first stitch! The back is even worse, all the stiches are very lose, and when I tried the reverse buttton, the fabric was caught and the machine wouldn't move! Horrible and not worth the money! Plus, you have to hold the threads tight at first when you run it through, unless you want the thread to get caught and tangled on the back. Don't buy this, unless you are willing to knot everything yourself, and pull both threads until are tight on the back, and then knot it again. It's worth paying the extra money for a good machine just so you don't have to knot everything yourself! Don't buy this it's a scam.
Not what I expected July 1, 2008 Jennifer M. Manci (KY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this product in the hopes that it would help me fix my favorite shirt. As I started using it, however, I realized that it was not going to be acomplishable. I suppose that for ordinary purpases, it would wor fine, but I had a hole in the armpit of my shirt that I was trying to fix. The product didn't have enough space for me to fit the fabric into to properly fix it, and the stitch type wasn't strong enough.\ I have given this product three stars because it will work for fine for ordinary things, but don't expect to be able to handle big jobs.
