Customer Reviews I actually LOVE 'em May 25, 2008 Faith Colleen Carr (Gainesville Florida)
I bought these at Wally World, and was very satisfied with my $20 purchase. I have a 12'x3' above ground, and was tickeled with the display. The flashing is a bit much, but the slow changing display was just the ticket. I live out in the country and the darkness heightens the effect. Pretty cool to sit on the porch and watch my little pool cycle through the colors. Don't know yet how long they will last, but if I get one season out of 'em, I'm satisfied. Oh by the way, the dogs think it's some form of life. The light glows through the pool liner, and doggies are freaked out (in a good way)

I think this thing is great. The patterns are great, it adds a whole new level to hanging out by the pool at night. You do not have to be swimming to enjoy this. It changes colors while floating around the pool to your favorite tune. I will admit, more than one is in order, but the more you add to the pool the better the effect you'll get. The lights are a little brighter in the picture, but the hamburgers in McDonald's ads don't look like what you get either!

Don't waste your money. These lights DO NOT light up the way they do in the picture.
Not that impressive May 29, 2007 E. Dean 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I don't know how they got such a brilliant photo here and on the product packaging but I have a strong suspicion that it was via Photoshop. It does produce colored light (flashing or solid) but it is not bright enough to be your only light, even in a 3.5' deep above-ground pool.

To see that much light you will need a lot of these floaters. Not recommend for average swimming pool.
