A tea drinker who has never experienced a tea flower will be thrilled to receive this gift-ready set. Containing twelve assorted tea flowers, the slender canister-style box is tied with a green cord and decorated with an image of a flower-filled glass teapot on one side and small images of the twelve unfurled tea flowers on the other. Tea flowers are comprised of AA-grade green tea leaves and actual dried flowers that are hand-sewn into tight balls by artisans in China. After a tea flower ball is place in hot water, it will slowly sink to the bottom and unfurl into full "bloom." Some even have two different kinds of flowers that unfurl into a colorful spectacle, adding fragrance and flavor to the tea. Best viewed through a glass teapot, each tea flower may be used up to three times to brew a pot of tea. Teas had mild flavor, but were really interesting to watch them "bloom" while steeping. For full effect, steep these in a clear glass container.

Primula Flowering Green tea is an excellent tea during tea time.
Each ball can make 2 pots of tea.
The flowers tend to naturally sweeten the tea so no sugar is needed,
yet it is not too sweet.
The blooming flower is an excellent conversation piece.
I highly recommend it for the discriminating tea drinker and beginners alike.

This is a wonderful product. The only thing I would like to see happen is that they sell the types of flowers seperatley rather than the variety pack.

My Mom and her co-workers really enjoy the blooming effect from what sounds like a well constructed 'flower' and they say the tea tastes great. I've smelled the hint of jasmine from it though I've not tried it yet - I know they love it. The teapot is a nice piece of hardware as well. Hardly a uni-tasker.

It was just amazing to see the flowers opened slowly in hot water. I brought a box for my daughter, who gave it to my wife as a Mother's Day present. My wife was so happy to see the flowers opened. My daughter was so amazed, and video taped the whole process to show her friends. The only thing I want to add is, a few of flowers did not open as nicely as the others. But still, each of them gave us exciting moments.
