Customer Reviews Read 2 more reviews... Dont waste your money on this game January 6, 2009 Herbie Hinde (In Bed)
One of the worst all around games Ive played in ages. Graphics look nothing like the videos or packaging - and I'm running a pair of 9800GTXs SLI'd. Handling is worse than arcade-ish. Might be a good game for your 5 year old but dont pay more than 5 bucks for it. The 5 bucks I wasted on this would've been better spent on a six pack or a couple of two dollar ho's.
Game: Good - Disney: Stick with movies! December 2, 2008 Bryan L. Badertscher (NV)
I have read some of the other complaints and they are valid to a degree. The game takes forever to install and sometimes takes forever to load. I have found that this happens due to processor inactivity for some reason. You would think that the game running would create enough activity but it doesn't. If you are there multitasking or tapping keys, then it loads faster. I actually did the dishes between track loads and it took 5 minutes to go back to the menu after a race. USB keyboards WILL work with this along with rumblepads. If you are racing with the keyboard, then good luck to you! I could not get this to run on any 64-bit platform. Fortunately, there are no-dvd hacks that will allow it to run successfully. Sad that Disney can't get the game to run off the DVD correctly but some no-name cracker was able to get it going with little effort! The game is fun but any racer can complete it in no time. The tricks are fun as well but the key mapping doesn't work for the advanced tricks. My 5 and 7 year-olds love this game, as does this 35 year-old. I am not a big quad racer fan but this one goes above and beyond! Just be patient and look for the correct help. All will work out in the end!
Too Many Hang up to be Pure November 28, 2008 0 out of 11 found this review helpful
Don't buy the PC port of this game. Every other track I race in the game locks up.
Unplayable Game November 3, 2008 A. Henson 1 out of 11 found this review helpful
This game installed fine, but the keyboard commands only seem to work part of the time. It is as if they never expected people to be using USB keyboards, or it is just a flat broken application. Pretty much unplayable and I feel ripped off.
tremendous fun, if nothing else October 1, 2008 Crawlerz (PA, USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This games is a lot of head-banging, mud-slinging, rock `n roll, good old-fashioned fun. The graphics are cool (and quite good). And YES you can change the resolution! I tried it already (you just have to finish the tutorial first and then go to OPTIONS from main menu.) The only negative of this game I can think of is its loading/saving times. For some reason when you start it up it goes through a process of saving/loading 4 or 5 times in a row each time for about a minute. It also took some 30 minutes to install. (But, hey, what can you expect from a game marketed (and done by) Disney? Some inelegant code will always be there.) I will say this, however; my computer IS NOT a slow junker: it's a 2.4GHz core 2 duo with winXP and 2GB RAM with a nVidia 8800GTX card and a 2ms monitor. Other games run like you wouldn't believe. Once this one's loaded, it runs well too, though. This game is tremendous fun (especially for the kiddies) and some adults who like a certain combination of mud and rock in their life (at least the VIRTUAL life.)
