Customer Reviews Dry Erase Markers Continue to Improve October 15, 2008 Bryan Carey (Houston, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Quartet Enduraglide Dry Erase Markers are very nice dry erase markers for many reasons. The main quality that sets these markers apart and that you notice right away is the three- chamber ink distribution system and the see- through ink barrel. It's an appealing concept and it lets you see how much ink supply is left so there are no classroom surprises. Then, there are the bright, vivid colors that flow from the chisel tips. Among the four shades in each package, I prefer red because I love the brightness but the other colors are equally vivid. And the nice part is that even with this level of color, the ink still wipes clean quickly with one swipe of an eraser. Quartet Enduraglide Dry Erase Markers are intended for dry erase whiteboards, but they are still useful in other ways. For example, I sometimes use mine on regular paper. What I like about using Quartet Enduraglide Dry Erase Markers on paper is that the ink dries almost instantaneously. There is no chance for smearing because it dries almost the instant it touches the paper. The colors are not as rich when used on paper compared to using on a whiteboard, but for a general use marker, it gets the job done as well as any other. One other quality that I like with the Quartet Enduraglide Dry Erase Markers is that the cap snaps in place on the opposite end of the marker. This may not seem like a big deal to some, but in all the years I have used dry erase markers, I have been very frustrated by the tendency of the cap to fall off the opposite end. I like to take the cap off and place it on the opposite end of the marker, as a means for storage while I write with the marker. The problem with doing this is that the cap almost never stays in place. It falls off effortlessly and often rolls underneath a desk or other large object, making it sometimes difficult to find. But Quartet Enduraglide Dry Erase Markers are different. The cap on this dry erase marker actually snaps into place on the opposite end of the market. This means it cannot fall off on its own, with normal use. Overall, Quartet Enduraglide Dry Erase Markers are very good markers I am happy I took the time to try out and get to know. The scent is bearable, the color is good, and the ink dries quickly. Add to that the fact that the cap stays firmly in place on the opposite end of the marker and you have a very good set of dry erase markers for everyday use.
