this jacket is nice looking but is pretty thin. i was expecting something warmer for winter.

I looked all over for something like this for my daughter for Christmas; I live near Freeport, Me outlet stores and all the best had nothing. She is allergic to wool so this coat is going to thrill her! I love the look, the quality, and it came in timely fashion. I just can't wait til Christmas!

I ordered this coat for my trip to California in the winter. I live in Hawaii, so I wanted something warm, but not so warm that I would never wear again in Hawaii's climate. Here's what I found:

Pros:
-fit around waist is nice, complimentary
-length is nice for taller girls (I'm 5'11" and like long coats)
-light weight but still warm and cozy (thick cotton, lined and lightly stuffed, but still smooth and sleek, not a puffy jacket)
-lining has cute simple floral pattern (different from one in picture in my case)
-neutral colors available go with lots of outfits (I got the Military gray color and it's very gray-brown-greenish)
-sturdy stitching and reinforced big, deep pockets
-soft cotton lining at torso is comfortable and breathes nicely, sleeves are lined with a silkier polyester material, still beats wool in my opinion

Cons:
-sleeve length is a tad short
-sleeves are tight at wrist (but there are buttons to loosen, hopefully that helps)
-shoulders feel tight
-hood is smaller than I'd like (would like it to go past my forehead, rests on top of it instead)
-ruched details at shoulders isn't visible in pictures and isn't really my taste

Overall, a very cute jacket with some minor improvements that could be made. I like it and will wear it, but was a little disappointed by these easily fixable problems.
